My name is Matthew Johnson and I started Urban Avenue in 2004, not knowing what it would become. I still don’t. It’s primarily a place for me to share my latest work and offer my services as a creative professional. It evolves as I do. I’m available for freelance work.

I love being creative and trying new things. Ever since I was a kid I’ve been like a sponge soaking up geeky stuff and getting inspired by what is and isn’t possible so I can let my imagination run wild.

Starting out as a print designer my career has taken many interesting paths. My eyes have opened up to other mediums allowing me to venture into web design, animation, video and photography. And I’m excited about whatever I get into next. I try to be a person of many talents not only to be versatile and competitive but to explore creative ideas and really challenge myself.

I’d prefer to work with cool and creative people that share the same eagerness to brainstorm wild and crazy ideas as much as I do while retaining a solid concept.
